Restoration works are underway in Pyatigorsk in the place of terror act

In the morning on August 21, teams of workers started restoration works in the place of the terror act committed in central Pyatigorsk.

Operative headquarters was set up in Pyatigorsk for eliminating the consequences of the explosion headed by Oleg Bondarenko, chief of the city administration. The headquarters includes doctors, communal workers, builders and state officials.

In the morning on August 21, workers started repairing roofs and window openings. According to one of the workers, only repair of the roof on the house close to the explosion epicentre will take not less than a month, the "Finam.fm" reports.

At the same time, the inhabitants of the houses damaged by the terror act in Pyatigorsk are dissatisfied with the tempo of recovery works. In their opinion, the progress is too slow.

"The builders have started repairing the roof, and when they'll do it inside the building – nobody knows. Commissions go one after another; they says estimates should be made," said Lyubov Inyutina, owner of one of the apartments.

Special commissions engaged in assessing the damage work in the venue in parallel with the builders. The inhabitants of the damaged houses have claims to the work of the commissions; the house owners were told that they should not hope for new double-glazed window units or metal doors.
