US DoS positive on Azerbaijan's war on terror

The Department of State (DoS) of the USA has promulgated its annual report on global terrorism. The chapter on Azerbaijan runs that the country is actively opposing the terrorist organizations, which try to tranship people, money and materials across the Caucasian region.

"In the end of 2009, Azerbaijan revealed growth of responsibility in taking steps against funding terrorism and enforcing the legislation against money laundering and funding terrorism," says the report.

The study further runs that Azerbaijan continues revealing possible persons engaged in funding terrorism, takes part in information exchange with other countries' law enforcement bodies, and supports the international coalition in Afghanistan.

The document also lists particular facts on neutralization of terrorist groupings in Azerbaijan.

The official Baku welcomed the DoS' report on global terrorism and, in particular, in Azerbaijan.
