The demonstrators supported the demand to Georgian President Eduard Shevarnadze to cease garbling parliamentary election results and acknowledge a victory of "National Movement" led by Mikhail Saakashvili.

Official data say that the pro-presidential bloc "For New Georgia" is in the lead (25%) after 65% of the ballot papers have been processed. "National Movement" is left behind by 1-2% votes, according to different estimates.
