Militiaman killed in Ingushetia

In the city of Malgobek (Ingushetia), tonight a car was shelled, and an agent of the OBEP (Division for Fighting Economic Crime) of the Malgobek ROVD (District Interior Division) was killed.

The incident happened at 7:20 p.m. in Tolstogo Street. Unidentified persons opened fire on an Opel car, driven by Umalat Yandiev, an OBEP operative agent.

As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ingushetia, Yandiev died in place from received wounds.

The "Interfax" reports that the attackers disappeared in a dark-blue Mercedes.

Let us remind you that on July 28 two armoured vehicles with servicemen of the operative militia regiment were blown up in the Sunzha District. The power of each explosive device was about 0.5 kilos in trotyl equivalent. A militiaman was wounded. On July 27 in the Malgobek District unidentified persons wounded an employee of the local OVD (Interior Division) and an occasional passer-by.
