Final charges are presented to figurants in Markelov's murder case
In the near future, the figurants in the murder case of lawyer Stanislav Markelov and journalist Anastasia Baburova - Nikita Tikhonov and Evgenia Khasis - will start studying the materials of the case.
According to a competent source, the final wording of the indictment removed from Khasis charges of complicity in Baburova's murder, and now she is accused only of complicity in Markelov's murder. Charges of murdering the lawyer and the journalist were presented to Tikhonov.
Alexander Vasiliev, advocate of Khasis, has confirmed that, in the opinion of the inquiry, Khasis did not take part in murdering Baburova. "It was a so-called 'killer's excess', when criminals plan a murder of one person, and as a result the gunman kills two, being guided by some personal reasons," the "Gazeta.Ru" quotes Mr Vasiliev as saying.
