Abkhazian President arrives in Nicaragua

On July 18, the delegation of Abkhazia headed by President Sergey Bagapsh has arrived with the first official visit to the city of Managua, the capital of Nicaragua.

"My visit takes place thanks to the invitation of esteemed President Daniel Ortega, leader of the Sandinista Revolution, and I am very grateful to him for that," said Mr Bagapsh.

This visit, according to his story, "has to do with the need to establish close contacts with our Nicaraguan friends."

On July 17-21, Sergey Bagapsh will stay in Nicaragua, where he will have meetings with President Daniel Ortega and members of his government. On July 21-23, he will visit Venezuela to meet President Hugo Chavez.
