Law on education will be put for public judgment in Armenia

The parliament of Armenia intends to put a law on education for public judgment. As Armenian National Assembly Deputy Viktor Dalakian informed, the legislations was prepared in cooperation with the Open Society Institute non-government organization. "As this law will regulate all the sphere of general education, we find the initiative on calling all interested parties to take part in the preparation of the law to be right," noted Viktor Dalakian.

As Open Society Institute President Artak Kirakosian said, the legal regulation of the educational sphere in Armenia stays far from democratic standards. So, the issue of alternative pedagogical methods has not been regulated up to now.
