Chechen natives arrested in France are suspected of involvement in Moscow terror acts

The three natives of Chechnya arrested in France are suspected of links with the person involved in terror acts in Moscow metro. As reported by western media, in the opinion of the French inspectors, the Chechens financed the terrorist arrested in Russia.

Earlier it was reported that French police presented charges of terrorist ties to three out of four arrested Chechen natives. Russian agencies believe that the Chechens are members of the Dokku Umarov's grouping. According to a source in French law enforcement bodies, the four suspects were arrested last week in the department of Sarthe.

As reported by the "Expatica.com", on July 15, one of the detainees was released without presenting any charges.

The ages and names of the arrested persons are not disclosed. It is only reported that the person suspected of ties with the detainees, known to the French police, also lived in the Sarthe region. He was detained last autumn in Moscow with firearms, explosives and a map of the Russian capital with marked potential objects of future terror acts, the Associated Press reports.

The prosecutor's investigation was initiated on the request of the Russian party, and is a part of a broader inquiry opened by the Paris Public Prosecutor in December 2009, the "Interfax" reports.

So far, there is no official confirmation of this information.
