The Investigatory Department for the Astrakhan Region of the ICPO (Investigatory Committee at the Russian Prosecutor's Office) has initiated a criminal case on the fact of a mass poisoning of children, who took their rest in the camp "Young Railwayman", located in the Privolzhskiy District of the Region, the press service of the Department reports.

In total, 14 children in the age of 8-14 were brought to the regional infectious hospital with symptoms of acute intestinal infection and enteritis in early July.

The investigatory group, which arrived to the venue of the incident, took samples of food, water from the swimming pool and potable water, and personnel's blood assays for laboratory analyses, the "BaltInfo.Ru" reports.
