More than 240 persons, mostly imams and representatives of the elders, are to take part in the conference of Moslems in Ingushetia which is planned for beginning of July. During the event, it is planned adopt new prices for kidnapping brides and buy out of vendetta, reports the republic's Moslems' Spiritual Department.

The bride price in Ingushetia has remained unchanged for a decade and is 12,500 rubles. The Imams, having consulted the population, have decided to increase the amount. Now, a bride will cost from 30,000 to 50,000 rubles.

The participants also plan to discuss the ceremony of kidnapping itself. The elders see in this custom, which is contrary to Islam, more cons than pros, note in the muftiat.

The amount will be determined by the so-called reconciliatory commissions, "popular judges" to whom the relatives of the parties in vendetta will address, reports Newsru.com.
