Brother of bee farmer murdered in Ingushetia applies for help to republic's leader

Aslan Chechoev, brother of bee farmer Ghilani Chechoev murdered on June 24, has applied for help to the president of Ingushetia. In his letter, he asks for the persons implicated in the murder to be found and brought to responsibility.

The relative of the diseased claims that Ghilani Chechoev was engaged in bee farming and on that luckless day he went to his bee garden at the outskirts of the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya to collect his bees. According to Aslan Chechoev, around 19:30 p.m. "a black "Lada Priora" car without a license plate arrived. Two persons in masks and wearing special "forest camouflage" uniforms got out, they carried weapons for silent shooting (screw-taps) used by special troops".

"Having aimed their arms they demanded documents. Ghilani answered that the documents were in his car, the officers wanted him to bring them. When my brother Ghilani headed for his car to fetch the documents, the masked people shot into his back. Who are those people and what they wanted from my brother we do not know", states the brother of the diseased.

The victim had five small children who were left orphans.
