The court rejects prosecution request in trial on case of attack on Nalchik

Edward Mironov and Zaur Tokhov, two defendants in Kabardino-Balkaria in the case of militants' attack on Nalchik in October 2005, are not going to be expelled from the court room, despite the prosecution request.

The court warned Mironov that, in case he used improper speech he would be expelled from the court room. Tokhov was pointed out that improper expressions were inadmissible.

For reference, the prosecution filed a request to expel those persons from the court room  for addressing improper expressions to the prosecutor during the court session on June 24.

Having filed the request Olga Chibineva, head of the group of state prosecutors, mentioned that, in the course of the trial, Edward Mironov had been reprimanded 16 times, including 6 times for abusive expressions addressed to the prosecution.

Lawyer Oleg Kelemetov noted that Mironov had his own line of defense the essence of which was not only to elucidate what related to the events of October 13, 2005, but also what preceded them. In particular, the facts of persecution of Muslims. Meanwhile, according to him, the court often dismissed his questions as not relevant for the case.
