Murder case of director GTRK "Dagestan" sent to additional investigation

The Supreme Court of Dagestan has decided to send the murder case of Magomedhadji Abashilov, Director of the State TV and Radio Company (GTRK) "Dagestan", to the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation for additional investigation and correction of the mistakes made in the course of the inquiry.

On June 25, the Supreme Court of Dagestan held a session on the case. The debates of the parties had been planned on that day, but Shamil Abashilov moved a petition for returning the case to the prosecutor's office for additional investigation.

The parties of the defence and prosecution supported the petition. Judge of the Supreme Court of Dagestan Butta Uvaisov satisfied the petition and sent the case to the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Russia for additional investigation.

The Supreme Court of Dagestan also upheld the freedom restriction measure for the defendants - they will stay in custody till September 25.
