Tent camp "Bella" will no longer exist

The Chechen refugee camp "Bella", which has been in the center of heated debates recently, is likely to be liquidated. In spite of all assurances of the authorities, protests of human rights activist and refugees' unwillingness to leave this camp, the authorities have got their end. Displaced persons from the "Bella" camp are being moved to other tent camps situated in Ingushetia's Sunzhensky region.

At the same time there are enough grounds to surmise that, after the full liquidation of the camp "Bella", officials of the Russian Federal Migration Service will set about the other large tent camps of Chechen refugees. Those camps are "Satsita", "Alina" and "Sputnik" on the outskirt of the Sleptsovskaya village, and "Bart" in the town of Karabulak.
