In Ingushetia, detained Tsechoev brothers are tortured by militia, their relatives assert

In Ingushetia, relatives of Adam and Beslan Tsechoev, who were detained in Sagopshi village on June 8 on suspicion of organizing the explosion in Malgobek, assert that the brothers are tortured by the militia.

The relatives addressed their statement about torture to Magomed Khazbiev, head of the organization "Fair Ingushetia" and a member of the expert's board under the Russian Ombudsman.

According to the statement, the brothers are now kept at the GUVD (Chief Interior Department) of the city of Malgobek. Their parents assert that grenades were planted on the brothers, and are tortured so violently that on June 8 ambulance was called twice to them.

At present, Mr Khazbiev is on his way to the GUVD of Malgobek, where he is going to study the situation as a human rights defender.

"For the second day the advocate is not let to the detainees. I'm going to talk to the GUVD head Nukhazhir Evloev, look at the situation in the facility, where they are kept, and render assistance to the victims," Magomed Khazbiev told the "Ingushetia.Ru" Agency.

Besides, Ibragim Tsechoev, a detainees' brother, addressed his application to President of the Republic of Ingushetia Evkurov, Public Prosecutor of the Republic of Ingushetia Turygin, Ombudsman in the Republics of Ingushetia Ozdoev, head of the ANCO "Mashr" Mutsolgov and head of the HRC "Memorial" Akiev.

He asks to help to defend the constitutional rights of Tsechoev, Beslan Maksharipovich, born in 1984, and Tsechoev, Adam Maksharipovich, born in 1986, and hold their medical examination. Human rights activist Magomed Mutsolgov reports about it in his blog, which he runs in the portal of the "Caucasian Knot".
