FSIN refutes data on Khasis' hunger strike

Evgenia Khasis, a figurant in the murder case of lawyer Stanislav Markelov, did not refuse to take prison food at the "Lefortovo" SIZO (pre-trial prison), where she is now kept. This was stated by the spokesman of the press service of the Federal Corrective Service (known as "FSIN").

Earlier, Alexei Baranovskiy, Evgenia's friend, reported that on Thursday, June 10, Khasis refused to take prison food in protest against staying in the same facility with Ali Taziev, one of North-Caucasian militants' leaders, also known as Magas.

However, according to the FSIN spokesman, "Khasis never refused from food and takes it all the time." He added that the girl submitted no written applications to this end, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
