President of Chechnya calls world community to help Kirghizia

President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has expressed his regret in the context of tragic events in Kirghizia, stating to journalists on June 13 in Gudermes that several districts of this country sees the events, which cannot be understood or explained.

"Thousands of young men plunder and set on fire buildings and apartment houses; they rush into hospitals and state institutions and kill each other because of ethnic belonging. To me as a Moslem and a person who saw what are the results of chaos, disrespect for the law, disorders and pogroms, it's painful to hear every day about new and new acts of escalation of tension in the Osh Region," said Mr Kadyrov.

In his opinion, "someone in the world should resolutely interfere with the events and stop the bloodshed."

Speaking about Kirghizian authorities' appeal to Russia with a request to support the efforts on establishing order, he noted that "the positive decision of Moscow would be perceived by all with understanding," the ITAR-TASS reports.

In the south of Kirghizia, in the cities of Osh and Dzhalal Abad, interethnic clashes between the Kirghiz and Uzbeks, which burst out at night of June 11, continue. The initiators of disorders have burnt down whole districts, while marauders are vandalizing the streets. The interim government of the republic introduced the state of emergency in the region. At present, 114 casualties were reported.
