Isa Yamadaev pleased with court decision on assassination attempt on his life

Isa Yamadaev is pleased with the ruling of the Moscow region court that has sentenced today Khavazha Yusupov, a native of Chechnya charged with trying to assassinate Yamadaev in the summer of 2009. After sentencing, the businessman himself said this, having pointed out that only the principal offender was penalized.

Let us note that the Moscow region court found Khavazha Yusupov guilty under the articles "Assassination attempt" and "Illegal turnover of weapons and ammunition", and sentenced him to eight and a half years of imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony.

At sentencing, the victim Yamadaev was in attendance, being accompanied by several gunmen.

"I feel annoyed when only a principal offender, not an assassin's paymaster will be suffered the punishment", Isa Yamadayev said, having refrained from naming any suspects. "I laid out everything in my open letter", the victim added.

Yamadaev's advocate Yury Efimenko reported that criminal charge of trying to assassinate Isa Yamadayev as against assassin's paymasters was severed from other charges, "Interfax" informs.
