Hurricane paralyses traffic in Rostov-on-Don

Several districts of Rostov-on-Don were captured by hurricane accompanied by big hailstones. The calamity blocked the traffic; many cars were damaged by hailstones.

At about 5:00 p.m. Moscow time hurricane burst out over the Severny District in Rostov-on-Don and brought a downpour and huge hailstones.

As reported by the "Interfax", some streets are impassable because of streams of water; huge heaps of ice from hailstones formed under the trees; some local residents had their cars beaten by hailstones.

The emergency services of Rostov-on-Don have reported that "the nature raged not over the whole city but just several districts." Weather forecasters said that the other end of the city enjoyed sunny weather and had not a drop of rain, the Radio of Russia reports.
