In Nazran, man opened fire on militiamen and was shot dead

The militiamen who were guarding the Nazran sports complex were shelled by a man from his pistol; he was shot dead by response fire.

"The incident happened at 12:30 a.m. Moscow time. A suspiciously-looking man tried to enter the physical culture and health-improving complex, where a judo tournament was held. When checked by a metal detector, he pulled out his pistol and opened fire on militiamen. He was shot dead by response fire," the "Interfax-South" quotes a source in law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia.

The ITAR-TASS writes referring to the local MIA that none of the militiamen and visitors of the sport event suffered.
