Ingushetia: resident of Plievo village reports her son's kidnapping

Lyubov Tsechoeva, a resident of the Plievo Municipal District of Nazran, told about illegal actions of power agents against her family.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported that today at night law enforcers conducted their operative-search actions in three households of Plievo.

Ms Tsechoeva told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that today at midnight more than 100 power agents who arrived in ATCs (armoured troop-carriers), URAL trucks and Gazel vans, surrounded her household and, explaining nothing, made a pogrom in the house and took away her son - Khamzat Tsechoev, 33, - to some unknown place.

According to her story, people in masks, helmets and with shields did not present themselves and showed no documents. They behaved aggressively and rudely.

She said that power agents planted a sub-machine gun into the house. "They threatened all of us and demanded that we sign the protocol saying that the submachine gun belonged to our son, but we refused to do it. Then, they took my son Khamzat away without saying where and what for," said the woman.

Power agents stayed in Tsechoevs' house till 8:00 a.m. At 6:00 a.m. Ruslan Albakov-Myarshkhi, head of the office of Ombudsman in Ingushetia, arrived to the venue to study the circumstances, but he was not let in and received no explanations.

The agents who searched the house presented themselves to Albakov as employees of the Department of the FSB (DFSB) for Ingushetia. They told him about a special operation and asked to address for details to the Department office in Magas.

Earlier, Mr Albakov had a meeting with Vladimir Gurba, head of the DFSB for Ingushetia, who told him that two attackers on power agencies in 2004 were hiding in Tsechoevs' house. One of them was allegedly detained, while the other managed to disappear.

Albakov does not know whether the detainee mentioned by the local FSB boss was Khamzat Tsechoev; according to his version, he did not see any illegal actions committed by power agents.

"It was silent, no chaos or bombardment. The only thing that there were law enforcers there who conducted the search," Mr Albakov said and added that he did not know whether the power agents has a search warrant.

Lyubov Tsechoeva is sure that now her son is kept in the building of the DFSB for Ingushetia in the city of Magas. The family has hired a lawyer to clear out the circumstances.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Ingushetia informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they have no information about the incident in Plievo and cannot, so far, either confirm or deny any law enforcers' actions in Tsechoevs' house.
