Dagestan: detained Kara-Tyube residents are at large

Today, Isa Magomedov, a resident of Kara-Tyube village, Babayurt District of Dagestan, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the 17 villagers detained on April 15 have been released from the Babayurt ROVD.

"I was among the detainees. On that day, unidentified armed persons violently rushed into our house. They told that I and my brothers Magomed and Zagir would have to go to the ROVD for interrogation. At the militia station we found 14 more persons, including one pregnant woman," Isa said.

He said that law enforcers never explained the reasons of their behaviour.

The press centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the Ministry had been notified about the incident, but recommended to get more detailed comments at the investigatory department of the prosecutor's office of Dagestan and in the Babayurt ROVD. The latter's person on duty said that the unit commander had been duly informed about everything; however, his telephone gave no answer.
