In Georgia, Labourites give their quotas in electoral commissions to other parties

The Labour Party of Georgia does not take part in municipal elections, but plans to redistribute its quotas in electoral commissions among other opposition parties. In particular, the "Alliance for Georgia", the National Council and the "Party of Industrialists" will benefit.

"As a political subject, we've announced boycott of elections. We have one place under the quota in every electoral commission, and should we give up these places, the authorities would immediately grasp them. Therefore, we decided, on the one hand, to recruit as many our members as possible to the commissions, and, on the other hand, to hand our vacancies over to other oppositional political forces," said Giorgi Gugava, Secretary General of the Labour Party.

According to his story, it basically refers to those regions, where "absolute falsification of elections most often takes place." These regions, in the opinion of Labourites, include the Marneuli District, where ethnic Azerbaijanis compactly live, and the Samtskhe-Dzhavakheti District, where ethnic Armenians compactly live.

The "Party of Industrialists", which was also offered Labourites' quotas, notes that "it is an invaluable step by Natelashvili." According to Zurab Tkemaladze, leader of Industrialists, for his party "suburbs of the capital and Adzharia, where most often the authorities falsify elections," are extremely important.
