Head of criminal investigation blown up in Kabardino-Balkaria

Tonight in Kabardino-Balkaria an attempt was made on Zuber Shukaev, head of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR). He died a bit later in hospital.

According to a source in law enforcement bodies, the car with Mr Shukaev was blown on the way to Urvan village, not far from Nalchik. Under preliminary data, the mine was attached to the car bottom.

Zuber Shukaev was seriously wounded and hospitalized. Some time later he died. Now, Investigatory actions are underway.
