NATO criticizes Georgian "Imedi" TV Company for its simulated "Chronicle"

The NATO considers the TV report about the alleged Russia's aggression against Georgia put on air by the Georgian TV Company "Imedi" as "unwise" and "useless". This was stated on March 24 by James Appathurai, official spokesman of the Alliance. In its turn, the US reconnaissance believes that provocations like this "special report" can kindle a real conflict in the Caucasus.

"This 'TV report' was unwise and useless, and it is not considered by the NATO as positive," James Appathurai told journalists in Brussels. Speaking about the meeting planned for today in Brussels of Anders Fogh Rasmussen, NATO's Secretary General, with President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili, Mr Appathurai said that he was unaware of the issues to be raised at the negotiations, the "News-Georgia" Agency reports.

The "Georgia Online" supposes that the meeting will consider the issues related to Georgia's accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and reports that Saakashvili has left for Brussels to take part in the congress of the People's Party of Europe.
