In Sochi, builders who stay without salary complain of absence of medical care

The builders of Olympic objects in Sochi, who were on strike because of non-payment of their promises wages, also complain of impossibility to receive medical servicing.

One of them - Igor Pechorin - said that because of famine (according to the workers, they have no money even to buy bread) he had his stomach ulcer opened, and he was operated on. Besides, there were problems with teeth, which "ached so much that one of his trailer neighbours pulled out his tooth with flat-nose pliers."

"The workers' settlement has no first-aid post," he said. "There's only a place, where they measure workers' blood pressure prior they go to work. No medical means for rendering help are stipulated."

The woman Tatiana by name, who came to Sochi from Voronezh and makes blood pressure measurements in workers, confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the place where she works cannot be used as a first-aid post. The only thing she can do is "to bandage a finger."

Valery Morozov, chairman of the board of the general contractor - the OJSC "Moskonversprom" - has stated that all the workers had already received all their wages; and when asked to comment on the absence of a first-aid post in the territory of construction, he said that all the workers are healthy.
