Prosecutor's Office of Stavropol punishes officials for cold injury of children in sports club

The Prosecutor's Office of Stavropol Territory has completed its check of a cold injury of children who had got to the hospital after fortifying procedures during kick-boxing training. Upon its results, local officials were punished, the coach was dismissed and criminal investigation against him is under way.

As the "Caucasian Knot" reported, at the end of January, the Prosecutor's Office of Stavropol Territory initiated a criminal case on the fact of cold injuries inflicted on children in the sports club of school No 11 in Stavropol. The cause of the cold injuries was a 20-minute warming run with bare feet on the snow at the temperature of minus 15-18 degrees.

Upon the results of the check, the Prosecutor's Office rebuked the head of education department under Stavropol administration, warned head of the department of sports, dismissed the director of the children's single combat sports school of Stavropol and warned the director of secondary school No 11, reports "Interfax".

Vadim Khorev is dismissed from the position of the coach, reports TV company "АТV-Stavropol". Criminal investigation is initiated under the article "Intentional infliction of light damage to health" of the RF CC.

The check revealed that, in the course of training sessions at the club, a number of federal laws were violated. Contrary to the federal law "On Physical Exercises and Sport," the group with which Khorev worked was not in the list of any sports school. During training sessions, the coach conducted cold fortification by his own methods, without any appropriate program or annual plan. The logbook of attendance was irregularly kept.

Additionally, Khorev had no sports or pedagogical education, he had a diploma of a mechanical engineer of an agricultural college and had been employed as a coach of a sports school without any grounds, writes "Stavropolskaya Pravda" newspaper.
