House of oppositionist Khazbiev searched in Ingushetia
In the afternoon on March 11, house No. 2 in the Tsoroev Street in Nazran, belonging to the Ingush oppositionist Magomed Khazbiev, was visited by Ibragim Aushev, an inspector of the GOVD (Chief Interior Department), with reinforcement of power agents. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent learnt about it from Mr Khazbiev himself.
"They completely blocked the street - more than ten persons in helmets and masks; in the house, they looked for a sledge hammer, with which Kaloy Akhilgov was beaten, for a mobile phone, which was allegedly stolen from him during beating, and some truncheon. When they rushed in, I was not at home; I drove up a bit later. The inspector had a search warrant and all the documents required for the purpose," Magomed Khazbiev said to the correspondent.
"Besides, the 'masks' blocked street in front of my house. I don't know why, maybe, they were afraid that people would come to rally near my house. In general, they were seriously prepared for this search. They rummaged the house for about an hour. They found nothing, drew up a respective document, invited the witnesses, who signed the document; then, all of them left," said the oppositionist.
