Supposedly, a businessman was the aim of explosion in Tbilisi

A remotely triggered bomb planted near an apartment block caused an explosion in Tbilisi. Most probably, the culprits watched the entrance and triggered the explosive when a businessman who lives there was entering the house.

Absence of casualties of the powerful explosion this night in the Vazha Pshavela Street was just a lucky chance - in good weather tenants usually gather here, but today it was cold at night and snowing; therefore, there were no people there.

The blast wave broke windows and glasses in flats and cars. Radio Liberty reports, with reference to the MIA of Georgia, that the explosive was radio-triggered.

The businessman - supposed target of the attack - was slightly wounded by glass splinters. The MIA refused to give the victim's personal data, referring to the interests of the inquiry; however, as reported by the "Caucasus Online" with reference to local residents, the explosion was aimed against Ruslan Papaskiri, a native of Chechnya, also known as "Zona", who lived in this house for five years.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that yesterday, on March 7, in Kumistavi village, Vanskiy District of Georgia, an explosion also happened in the morning in the yard of a local resident. One person was killed and several more - slightly wounded. The reason is still established; however, local residents assert that it was a cassette bomb.

On February 20, in the Georgian city of Kutaisi the car of the well-known lawyer Ledi Tukvadze was blown up; fortunately, there were no victims. The completely destroyed car was in the yard of a multi-storey house.
