Kaloy Akhilgov knows the customers of the attack on him

Kaloy Akhilgov, press secretary of President of the Republic of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov, asserts that he personally knows three out of five attackers. He told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he "knows exactly who and why attacked him."

"This attack is exclusively linked with my professional work. Certain forces in the republic dislike very much what I say and how I present my vision of the political situation," Kaloy Akhilgov is sure.

"The rumours that I'm in grave condition are strongly exaggerated. I feel OK and without any essential traumas - just a couple of insignificant scratches," he continued. "They just tried to intimidate me."

The hijacked car was found very quickly, due to a satellite security system installed in it. However, the satellite system had not prevented the attackers from stealing the bag with documents, two cellular phones and an essential sum of money. Documents were returned on the next day.

Magomed Khazbiev, leader of the Ingush opposition, sticks to another opinion about the reasons of the attack on Akhilgov: "What politics do you talk about?! The whole republic knows who Kaloy Akhilgov is - just his mother's baby. He decides nothing. What should he be beaten for?"

According to his version, Akhilgov was attacked not by five men, but by two teenagers of 15-16 years old. The third boy was driving and videoed the whole incident. Under Mr Khazbiiev's version, Kaloy threw down his pistol, left his car and ran along the road; the boys caught up with him and hit a couple of times. "Visit the website 'Ingushetia.org'," the leader of the Ingush opposition continued. "I'm sure that the authors of the filmed 'attack' on Akhilgov will soon put it on the Internet."

It is far from being the first attack on Akhilgov, the Ingush oppositionist has emphasized: "They beat him three-four times a month. And he gets it exclusively for his petty intrigues, for his babbling and for the debts he would not return to people by abusing his powers and being sheltered by the FSB and militia."
