One more lawyer to defend interests of the son of Georgia's first president

Tsotne - son of the ex-president of Georgia Zviad Gamsakhurdia, accused of an attempt of deliberate murder, causing light injuries, espionage and anti-governmental plot, will be defended by two advocates. The second defender was appointed by the court under request of the first one - Keti Bekauri.

Ms Bekauri has noted that appointment of the second lawyer is caused by the fact that Gamsakhurdia was presented two charges, and the state has appointed two prosecutors to the litigation.

"According to the current procedural legislation, the balance of forces should be observed during the process. We have demanded the second lawyer to observe the balance," Ms Bekauri has noted.

Together with Keti Bekauri, Tsotne's interests will be defended Giorgiy Koyava, the "GHN" Agency reports.

The process was postponed till February 25, as the new lawyer should get acquainted with the materials of the case, the "Georgia-Online" reports.
