In the area of the Big Sochi clearing of the railway track from the mud is over. Train traffic was completely resumed at 9:14 a.m. Moscow time, reports Nikolai Shustov, head of the Department for Sochi of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE).
The mudslide blocked the railway on February 22 at about 5 in the morning in the area of Chemitokvadzhe village. The mudflow rushed down in front of the Adler-Vorkuta train, the operator of which managed to use the emergency braking. In total, 12 passenger trains moving to Adler and back were stopped; now each of them is 3-5 hours behind the schedule.
More than 70 persons, two emergency-repair trains and two bulldozers took part in the recovery actions. Now, the trains go in both directions, as the "Interfax" reports.
