Dagestan: car blown up with casualties

Not far from Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, militiamen opened fire on a suspicious car, when its driver did not react to demand to stop. The car blew up and three suspected militants inside were dead.

A militia squad was patrolling streets in the settlement named Shankhal, located in 10 kilometres off Makhachkala, and saw a suspicious "Oka" passenger car. Refusing to stop, the driver and his passenger opened fire on the militiamen, as reported by a source in the Department of Internal Affairs of Makhachkala to the "RIA Dagestan" Agency.

The squad opened fire on the car, which was trying to escape; and at that moment the car blew up, the "Life News" Agency reports.
