Georgia states that Abkhazian agents kidnapped 10 Georgians

Today, in the course of an emergency sitting of the parliament of Georgia, MPs have accused Russian and Abkhazian power agents of terror against the Georgian population.

According to vice-speaker Paata Davitaya, today, 10 citizens of Georgia were kidnapped in the Gali District. He believes that the pressure on the Georgian population of the region has strengthened in the context of December 12 presidential election in Abkhazia.

The IA "News-Georgia" reports that Mr Davitaya accused the authorities of Abkhazia of breaching human rights and practice of ethnic cleanings.

The "GHN" reports that the ten Georgians were detained today in the morning by Russian and Abkhazian militaries in Orsantiya village, Zugdidi District, near Inguri River.

According to the television company, the militaries were in ambush and suddenly attacked the Georgians, when they were about to cross the administrative border from the side of the Gali District aiming to bring agricultural products to their relatives in Zugdidi. The detainees were delivered to the Gali militia station.

So far, there are no comments on this information of the Georgian party made by the Abkhazian or Russian ones.
