Fire-fighting authorities check all New Year festivity sites in North Ossetia

Specialists of the fire supervising service of North Ossetia will examine, together with local militiamen, all the places, where the New Year cultural and mass actions are planned. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt that the count of such places is about a hundred, including ten night clubs, of them seven are round-the-clock ones.

After the tragedy caused by a fire in the night club of the city of Perm (the today's death-roll of the December 5 fire has made 139 persons, 91 more are still in hospital), 12 working groups were formed here to check fire safety in establishments of social sphere, entertaining complexes and pyrotechnics traders.

According to Georgiy Kuchiev, chief state fire inspector of North Ossetia, as of December 9 over 70 objects were examined; at the first stage priority is given to entertainment sites where masses of citizens usually come - cafes, bars and restaurants. In total, over 600 violations of fire safety regulations were revealed, 20 files on 20 sites are prepared for the court with the aim to stop them.
