Evkurov supports Ingush Premier in his conflict with administration head

President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov has dismissed Vladimir Borschov, head of his administration. Under the official version, the bureaucrat had asked for resignation himself, having referred to poor health. By another version, Mr Borschov has retired because of his conflict with Alexei Vorobyov, head of the republic's government.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported that Borschov was appointed to the post of the head of President's administration instead of Ibragim Tochiev, dismissed in early April this year. On December 5, it became known that the head of the administration of the President of Ingushetia Vladimir Borschov wrote a retirement application.

Mr Evkurov explained quite simply the reason of this quick dismissal of his official. "Vladimir Borschov wrote a self-retirement application and left the post on his will. He is heavily sick and retired because the state of health," the "Kommersant" newspaper quotes Mr Evkurov as saying.

Meanwhile, under assertion of the sources of the edition, Vladimir Borschov was forced to retire just six months after his appointment not because of his illness, but because of his disagreements with the President. Under this version, a month ago the republic's government held a tender for many-mullion-worth purchase of agricultural machinery. Mr Borschov, having expressed his doubts of the fairness of the tender, suggested revising its outcomes. Alexei Vorobyov, the Prime Minister, rejected the claims of the head of the administration and refused revising the outcomes. President Evkurov interfered with the dispute and took the side of Premier. "Mr Borschov tried to insist by using Moscow, but there he was recommended to retire," the source has explained.
