Dagestan STSI inspector charged of murdering his prosecution colleague

Seifula Isaev, senior inspector of special battalion of the Road Sentry Service (STSI), has faced charges of murdering Gamzat Musaev, senior inspector of the Khasavyurt Inter-District Investigatory Division of the Investigatory Department for Dagestan of the ICPO (Investigatory Committee of the Prosecutor's Office) of the Russian Federation, and of exceeding his service duties.

The tragedy happened on September 30 at the Federal Highway "Kavkaz", where employee of Dagestan STSI Seifula Isaev stopped a "Mitsubishi Lancer" to check documents. Gamzat Musaev with his colleagues was in the car. Mr Musaev refused to obey his road police counterpart and was shot dead by him.

Under the version of the investigation, suspect Isaev, despite the certificate presented to him, demanded from Musaev to open the motor hood. The victim ignored the demand and tried to continue the motion. In response, Isaev, by obviously exceeded his service duties, made several shots at Musaev from his service pistol. Two bullets got into the head of the casualty, as reported by the "Gazeta.Ru".
