Khabarovsk Territory: suicide of soldier from Volgograd Region investigated

The spokesman of the Khabarovsk Garrison Court reports about arrest of a serviceman suspected of non-statutory relations, which entailed a suicide on October 10 of a recruit from the Volgograd Region.

Earlier, near the military unit, deployed in the vicinity of Krasnaya Rechka village, soldiers found hung up regular soldier named Denis Kostenko, who was recruited from the Volgograd Region. On October 9, he wilfully left his motorized rifle unit No. 51460.

A criminal case on the fact was initiated under Article 110 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - "Incitement to suicide". Two victim's comrades-in-arms, suspected of involvement in the crime, are already detained. One of them is in custody in an isolation facility, the other one is under supervision, as reported by the "Interfax-Far East".

The press service of the Far-Eastern Military District asserts that the unit, where the victim served, had no problems with discipline, as reported by the "Echo Moskvy" Radio.
