Public Prosecutor demands 4-7 years in prison for "Black Hawks"

Yesterday, on September 28, at the Dorogomilovo Court of Moscow, where the case of the "Black Hawks" is considered, the representative of the Prosecutor's Office asked the court to sentence the six defendants-natives of the Caucasus, accused of hooliganism and causing grave harm to human health, to prison terms from 4 to 7 years. This was reported by victims' advocate Sergey Stashevskiy.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that only two figurants in this case - Grant Arutyunov and Dilgam Guseinov - are behind bars; the remaining four are under a recognizance not to leave. One more defendant - Rasul Khalilov - was shot dead on September 3 by unidentified persons at an entrance of his house. "Russian Nationalists" announced their responsibility for his murder.

According to advocate Stashevskiy, the Public Prosecutor asks the court to sentence all the six suspects to serving their would-be terms in a minimum security colony.

"I agree with the terms, but I don't agree with qualification of the crime," Mr Stashevskiy has added. "It was a murder attempt, not hooliganism and causing harm to one's health. The defendants stroke their blows in victims' vital organs, for example, in heart, and shouted: "Knife Russian swine!"

The advocate has noted that all the charges are confirmed by video records. "They videoed their attack by themselves and then placed it in the Internet," the ITAR-TASS quotes Mr Stashevskiy as saying.

The advocate has also emphasized that no organizers of the crime were found, and only executors had been detained, as the Russian News Service reports. On Tuesday, September 29, the defendants will have the last plea, and the court will retire to pass the verdict, the "GZT.ru" writes.

According to the prosecution, the grouping named "Black Hawks" unites natives of Azerbaijan.
