Youngsters assassinated in Chechnya were students

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Chechnya have reported that the two young men, suspected of participating in the armed underground, who were killed yesterday, on September 27, in the Shatoy District, were second-year students at two leading higher schools of the republic.

"Both were 20 and came from Grozny District: one studied at the Chechen State University, the other - at the Grozny Pedagogical Institute," an employee of Chechen MIA said.

According to power agents' statements, in the morning yesterday in the course of operative-search actions, two supposed members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) were blocked in an abandoned households in the high-mountainous Dekhesti village, Shatoy District. When offered to surrender, the militants opened fire and were liquidated by response shooting. 

Two Kalashnikovs with nine full magazines and three self-made grenades, known in the republic "Khattabka" were found on the casualties.
