Vast territories flooded in eastern Georgia
For several days the nature is storming in Kakheti - the winery area of Georgia. As a result of rains, apartment houses and vineyards were flooded; roads and bridges were damaged. The damage is still computed.
The rivers that overflowed the banks have flooded houses in the Lagodekh District of Kakheti. The bridge in Kabali was damaged. According to Giya Gozalishvili, head of the administration Lagodekh Municipality, local officials are now in villages studying the situation, the "Georgia-Online" Agency reports.
All the rivers in the Kvareli District are out of banks; therefore, dozens of houses were flooded. In the village of Shakhvetila, Ahmet District, a landslip descended. According to local residents, if the rains do not stop, there is a probability that the landslip will touch the adjacent apartment houses, as reported by the "GHN" Agency.
