Native of Dagestan arrested on suspicion of hacking official websites in Northern Caucasus

The Lefortovo Court of Moscow has arrested Albert Saaev, a native of Dagestan, suspected of hacker attacks on the websites of power bodies of some republics of Northern Caucasus.

According to Anna Usachova, head of the press service of Moscow City Court, the court has considered the petition of the Investigatory Department of the FSB related to Saaev, suspected of committing crimes envisioned by the articles "Unauthorized access to computer information" and "Creation, use or distribution of nocuous software", and has satisfied the petition.

According to the investigation, in June-July this year, Saaev, together with other persons, "organized a group in the territory of Moscow and other regions of the Russian Federations and undertook, by means of the Internet, a number of complex computer attacks on official websites of the bodies of power and administration of the Chechen Republic, Dagestan and Ingushetia, which resulted in breaking the operability of the resources, non-authorized blocking and updating of the information kept therein," the "Interfax" writes. The ITAR-TASS adds that the court has ruled to put Saaev in custody.
