At Investment Forum in Sochi, Russian regions sign contracts worth 481 billion roubles

At the Sochi Investment Forum, Russian regions have signed contracts to the total sum of about 481 billion roubles. As reported by the organizers of the Forum, almost two thirds of all the investments will go to the Krasnodar Territory.

The opening ceremony of the 8th International Investment Forum "Sochi-2009" took place on September 18; and it will last till September 20. 54 regions of Russia take part in the Forum.

As of September 19, 238 investment contracts have been signed. Out of them, 177 contracts to the total sum of 351 billion roubles were signed by the Krasnodar Territory (also called "Kuban"), the "Gazeta.Ru" Agency reports.

The "Southern Region" Agency adds that among the signed documents is the cooperation agreement between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Rostov Region and France.

The Volgograd Region and Tatarstan are going to exchange experiences on development of information technologies, design and introduction of specialized information systems, the "Tatars-Inform" reports.

The Astrakhan Region and the "Microsoft Rus" have agreed to develop cooperation in the field of application of information technologies.

A number of agreements with major Russian banks were signed by the delegation from the Chechen Republic. Long-term agreements were concluded with the "Vnesheconombank", "Sberbank of Russia" and "Rossselkhozbank", the TV Channel "Vesti" reports.
