Edelev: Said Buryatskiy's self-explosion in Nazran is disinformation

The information about the death of Said Buryatskiy as a suicide bomber at the building of the Nazran GOVD is disinformation, Arcadiy Edelev, Deputy Interior Minister of Russia, believes.

"This disinformation was spread deliberately, in order to divert the attention of law enforcement bodies and to preserve someone's life. This evidences that militants are afraid of us," said Mr Edelev at the meeting with participation of top managers of the MIA of Ingushetia in Nazran on August 28, as reported by the "Interfax".

He has added that such kind of terrorism as suicide bombers was brought to Northern Caucasus from outside, as it does not comply with the mentality of Vainakhs - they are wiser and more far-sighted, the "Echo Moskvy" Radio reports.

In the course of the meeting, the deputy minister also announced the statistics of terrorism and extremism victims in Ingushetia. From the start of this year, according to his data, the republic has lost 68 militiamen and servicemen; and 212 persons were wounded. Besides, 30 civilians were killed and 85 more wounded.
