DFSB: organizer of attempt on Evkurov liquidated in Ingushetia

Rustam Dzortov, who was killed during a special operation conducted in the Ingush village of Barsuki, was in command of all the militants in Ingushetia and one of the organizers of the murder attempt on President of the republic Yunus-Bek Evkurov. This was reported by a representative of the press service of the Department of the Federal Security Bureau (DFSB) for Ingushetia.

According to law enforcement bodies, in total, in the course of the operation, held in Ingushetia on September 4, three militants were killed. The bodies of two of them were identified at once, while the body of the third one – Rustam Dzortov – was found today in the morning.

According to a source from the FSB, Rustam Dzortov, born in 1979, a native of the city of Karabulak, also known as Abdul Aziz, was in the all-Russia search. According to the FSB, Abdul Aziz was in command of the activity of all the militants in the territory of Ingushetia from the start of this year, as the "Echo Moskvy" Radio reports.

"Starting January 2009, he headed the activity of all the gangs in the territory of the republic; he took part in attempts on law enforcers and militaries and, according to evidences of earlier detained Makhauri, was one of the organizers of the attempt on President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov," the "Gazeta.Ru" quotes the DFSB spokesman.
