Native of Azerbaijan, figurant in "Black Hawks" case, killed in Moscow

In northeast of Moscow, an unidentified gunman shot dead Rasul Khalilov, a native of Azerbaijan, a student of the Moscow Institute of Economy and Culture and a figurant in the case about an attack in spring last year of a group of nationalists from the organization named "Black Hawks" on two Moscow students. This was reported by Sergey Loginov, advocate of one of the defendants.

The murder of Khalilov, 18, has continued the series of attacks on Caucasian natives in Moscow.

The crime was committed on September 3; the gunman made five shots at Khalilov near No. 40a in the Altufiev Highway and disappeared. The student died in the hands of physicians.

"A young man, born in 1991, went out of the doorway, when an unknown person ran up to him, made four shots at his back and disappeared," said in his turn Maxim Kolosvetov, the on duty officer of Department for Information and Public Relations of the Moscow GUVD, who is quoted by the ITAR-TASS.

According to eyewitnesses, from early morning a man in black was sitting in the yard and reading a newspaper. When the young man appeared, the man took out his pistol, made shots and disappeared. The murder was committed near the kindergarten, where children were playing.

The young man was assassinated right at the moment, when he was going to another session of the Dorogomilov Court.

Khalilov'a relatives are sure that Rasul was killed by skinheads as the lynch-law. "Our boy wasn't a bandit; he was born and grew in Moscow," said his grandmother Juliet Aleksandrovna, 71, in distress. "He had a lot of friends, Russian nationals."

Rasul was a broadly-read and a calm person. According to his relative, five years ago his father died, and his mother reared three children alone, the "Komsomolskaya Pravda" writes.

"Rasul Khalilov was one of the figurants in this case ('Black Hawks'). Before his death he gave his evidences," said the advocate.

"For the whole year, the boy kept going to sessions and miss his studies," the grandmother said. "Rasul had nothing to do with the 'Black Hawks' grouping - he was just unlucky to be in that wagon, like many other people!"

The guys from the yard did not trust that the student could take part in that massacre. "Rasul was an excellent guy, we grew together," said the victim's friends Denis and Galya. "He never spoke aggressively against Russians!"

According to the GUVD of Moscow, the "Black Hawks" is a group of Caucasian youth, whose actions are "a copy" of those by Nazis-skinheads. According to power agencies, the group consists of students-Caucasians who attacked people of Slavic appearance. Like skinheads, they videoed their actions.
