Azerbaijan: investigation of the massacre in Academy extended

The investigation of the fact of the massacre committed at the Azerbaijani State Oil Academy (ASOA) will last for 4 months more, as the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by a source from law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan.

In the morning on April 30, 2009, Farda Gadirov, a native of Georgia, entered the ASOA building and opened pistol fire. After killing 12 persons and injuring 13 more, put the pistol to his head.

The source has refused to disclose all the studied versions, referring to the "secrecy of investigation."

Eldar Sultanov, head of the press service of the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Azerbaijan, has confirmed that the term of investigation was prolonged "because of the great volume and complexity of case."

Let us note here that the following natives of Georgia were arrested on the case: Nadir Aliev, Ariz Gabulov, Dzhavidan Amirov and Nadzhaf Suleimanov.
