MIA: suicide bombers who made explosions in Grozny identified

As reported by Ruslan Alkhanov, head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Chechnya, local law enforcement bodies have identified the today's suicide bombers, who committed explosions in central Grozny.

According to Mr Alkhanov, they are: Ilyas Batalov, born in 1991, a resident of Grozny, and Shamil Saltakhanov, born in 1985, a native of the city of Argun.

Vladimir Markin, official representative of the ICPO (Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office), has reported that "it has been established that today, from about 1:10 to 1:40 p.m. Moscow time two suicide bombers riding bicycles triggered their bombs in the Pervomaiskaya and Mayakovskaya Streets."

"Also, the information about explosions in micro-district 'Grozny' and Oktiabrskiy District of Grozny was checked, but wasn't confirmed," the ITAR-TASS quotes Mr Markin.

It has become known that the explosion in the Pervomaiskaya Street injured two civilians, including a girl of 13.

In total, today in Grozny four militiamen were lost and three other persons were wounded - a militiaman and two residents of the capital of Chechnya, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.

The "Interfax" reports that according to President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, the today's militants-suicide bombers were trained by Arabian instructors.
