Chechnya's MIA: Kalinichenko family was executed as revenge for identifying a militant

The law enforcement bodies of the Chechen Republic now know the name of a suspected killer of five persons in Pervomaiskoe village, Grozny District, committed at night of August 17. Probably, he was an acquaintance of one of the members of Kalinichenko family. This was stated by a source of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent in the MIA. According to his story, a briefing on the suspected gunman has already been disseminated among all the law enforcement units.

"The investigation of the criminal case opened on the fact of murder, in Pervomaiskoe village, of five persons has a particular suspect. He is an active member of illegal armed formations, announced into search. According to operative data, one of the three members of Kalinichenko family had earlier recognized the bandit in a video record, where he was filmed together with the suicide bomber Beslan Chagiev, who blew himself up on May 15 at the MIA building in Grozny. After that, the said bandit was announced into search," said the source.

"Most likely, this very circumstance caused the execution of the Kalinichenko family and their two relatives. The murder could be accomplished by the militant himself or by his accomplices. In any case, this person is established, and everything is done to find his present whereabouts," said a spokesman of the Chechen MIA.

President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has expressed his readiness to adopt Kalinichenko's children, in case they have no relatives, and ordered to organize the funeral of the casualties and help their relatives.
