Bailiffs evict nine families of refugees from dormitory in Ingushetia

On August 5, court bailiffs evicted nine families of refugees from a dormitory in Malgobek, Ingushetia, in which they had lived. No reasons for such forced eviction are known.

According to Vakha Chapanov, head of the "Maximum" information agency, this is not the first case of eviction of refugees of Prigorodny district from their residence.

Vakha Chapanov relays that nine families resided in the dormitory in Malgobek. "Five families are from the Prigorodny distrct, three from Chechnya and one family is local", he says. They already tried to evict the families but the human rights activists interfered.

"And on Wednesday they were evicted upon the decision of Malgobek town court. Bailiffs came and sealed the premises. Now, the people are in the street. The refugees applied to the authorities of Ingushetia, to the migration service but got no answer from anywhere", relays Chapanov. He adds that no one from  the refugees knows the reasons for the eviction.

Vakha Chapanov notes that similar situation may arise in Karabulak where 38 families of refugees reside in two kindergartens. "The authorities want to evict them because, in their view, new buildings must be built instead of the old kindergartens. However, nobody allocates places where the refugees may be relocated", notes Chapanov.
